Life after college presents unique challenges, such as finding a job, managing finances, moving away from home, and building new friendships. Many post-grad students struggle with loneliness as they transition from the connected college environment to a new city where establishing connections can be daunting.

After graduating, I moved to a new city and quickly felt the isolation of that first year. It was uncertain, but I learned the importance of discovering what makes me happy. I realized how vital it is to have people who understand you, to say yes to new experiences, and that getting coffee with a new friend isn't so scary.

These photographs showcase the people, places, and experiences that turned my post-grad blues into pure joy.

Life After College

My Semester Abroad

When I was a junior in college, I had the opportunity to study abroad for a semester in Barcelona, Spain. The months I spent in a new country shaped me into the person I am today.

I will forever cherish the memories and experiences I made while in Spain, but I also wanted a place for those memories to live on. So while I was abroad, I became a part of the IES Abroad Correspondent program. I had the opportunity to share my experiences via social media for prospective students to see.

Through this opportunity and taking two photography classes in Barcelona, I fell in love with the city and the images I captured there.

The Ringling Museum

I created these photos to tell a story about The Ringling Family. The Ringling family owns a 66-acre property in Sarasota, Florida. The complex is home to the John and Mable Ringling Museum of art, the State art museum of Florida, the Circus Museum, the Ringling Ca'd'Zan mansion, and Mable Ringling's bayfront gardens. These photos contain typography and photoshop edits for visual appeal. Take a tour of this beautiful property to learn a little about the Ringling Family Legacy.
